Anja Demuth

 
 
Human ears raised on backs of mice, pig hearts beating in human bodies, super resistant crops which cannot be harmed by vermin – things that have been utopian until some years ago are reality nowadays. This progress is imputable to transgenic research.
 
 

Anja Demuth is a German fashion designer currently based in Ulm. After her apprenticeship as a custom tailor for women she started her studies at Pforzheim University - School of Design and finally graduated from there in 2016 with a Bachelor Degree in Fashion Design. After setting a goal she consequently pursues it and copes with every strain. Strong in concept and skilled in experimental material machining she applies herself to her projects. There she gives full scope to her creativity whenever possible and draws inspiration especially from her surroundings. During her studies she made use of the variety of design courses at Pforzheim University to improve her interdisciplinary skills. Furthermore, she has had the exceptional opportunity to study in Japan for one semester which affected her significantly. She enjoys to experiment with different shapes, colors and materials and the possibilities to combine them. Recently she has won the "La Biosthétique Prix d’Innovation".
