Rossella Romano
I'm Rossella Romano I just completed Fashion design at Polimoda International Institute of Fashion Design and Marketing, Florence before I degree in Cultural Heritage at the University of Salerno, thesis in contemporary history. I love everything related to fashion, art, history and theater both as a spectator and as an active part. My background makes me very attentive to what belongs to the past but, at the same time, I’m extremely open to new ideas from both contemporary world and different cultures, that’s why I love travelling. I work well as part of a team, but I am also able to work individually and I have no problems to relate with the public. I'm looking for a job experience and any kind of collaborations. Thanks
The aim of my collection was to show a very important concept to me: if you want to create something very new and innovative you have to take inspiration from the past. In order to pass that message, I made my applications impressing the plot of the same lace both on ceramic and wood.
In this way, the lace has lost its traditional form but has remained as a trace. To complete my collection I designed an updated version of elements from the past choosing delicate colors such as the pottery and using fabrics obtained as a mix of traditional materials and textile fabrics.
