From a young age, I’ve always had a fascination for all things handcrafted. This love for making has led me to where I am now, a proud and passionate designer. Driven by curiosity for innovation, I seek to create something new and original. Not unlike trial and error, as a perfectionist, the process of fine tuning and editing is something I relish in. I work through a process of resolving ideas and problems at my sewing machine. As a fashion designer, the process of construction inspires me as much as any external factor. I work without any restrictions employing unusual fabrics to create garments that are interesting and unexpected often with a futuristic aesthetic.
It started with the city and ended far, far away. This collection has been driven by innovation. Architectural shapes inspired by the built environment developed into the uniform of a futuristic extra terrestrial.
Hannah uses various levels of translucency and layering, focusing on sculpted yet smooth shapes complimented by voluminous, textural soft pieces, all drawn together by a form fitting hood. Refreshing shades of peach and cool greys in unlikely technical fabrics has created a playful take on couture with a sporty twist. Hannah's natural approach explores the realms of unusual, blurring the line between fashion and costume.
