Sofia Zharova
Sofia first studied form, tailoring and pattern making, individually for several years. Then studied the theory of fashion in MSU, including internship in Milan, Paris and Florence. After in 2008 - 2010 she gathered practical experience as a designer in a new fashion brand "Lena Karnauhova" taking part in MBFWR and the N-U-De fashion show for upcoming designers at the Milan Fashion Week. In 2010 Sofia created SOFIA ZHAROVA label to concentrate on chic ladylike minimalistic design. One of the goals is to achieve the light and easy beauty of perfectly balanced garments. "Oblivion" is a fashion story based on SOFIA ZHAROVA fw 2016-2017 collection, created in collaboration with our gifted friend, model and stylist Leila Erdman and photographer Stas Falkov.
The idea is to show how much our perception of time depends on things surrounding us. Is there anything timeless, but the feelings we have? Is there any sense of time at all?
We tried to find out what the modern outfit would look like when put in a scenery of past. Can there be any harmony? And to show that the only thing going through time is the emotion.
