Pioboserman
"My childhood in Spain, with my Italian and Moroccan roots, have shaped my understanding of life through colors and shapes". "I'm not an artist, I'm a poet. I narrate stories with clothes. PIOBOSERMAN is a longterm project of self-expression; the man shown through the collections is definetely not a revolutionary but a counter-revolutionary. My goal is reshaping fashion with storytelling, speaking up for a generation disillusioned with the materialistic, selfish and "Terror of coolness" world we live in. The iconography behind the brand is very linked to heritage, folk and, in general, historical references: only with a step back we can go forward. PIOBOSERMAN is all about embellishments, reconstructed silhouettes, natural fibers and Heritage".
My Graduate collection from Polimoda represents an idyllic trip back to my Moroccan roots through the memories of my grandmother's life. The Moroccan costumes and typical mosaics, are set against a more traditional Western dress code causing a collision of the two cultures.
The classic sartorial fabric "Pied de Poule", is hand-painted, or better, stained in vibrant degradations of color, set against bold and intricate leather mosaic elaborations.
All the garments have a double wearability- falling to the front in order to create the illusion of a "human degradè", inspired by the work of Sophie Kahn.
"Son Tus Ojos Dos Estrellas // Your Eyes are Two Stars" is a sartorial and artisanal collection; an ode to craftsmanship.
