Paris Fashion Week | Ready To Wear

aris Fashion Week is a clothing trade show held biannually in Paris, France with spring/summer and autumn/winter events held each year. Currently, Fashion Week is held in the Carrousel du Louvre, as well as at various other venues throughout the city.  Paris Fashion Week is one of the major players amongst all global fashion weeks, others being London Fashion Week, Milan Fashion Week and New York Fashion Week. Paris Fashion Week gives designers the opportunity to showcase their latest collections to clients, buyers, journalists and anyone else that is lucky enough to get a ticket to the world renowned event.

The Federation Francaise de la Couture, du Pret-aPorter des Coutiriers et des Createurs de Mode maintain their esteemed reputation as being one of the world's fashion capitals by having high standards when governing the french fashion industry.  Every year, in January and July, Paris hosts 40 menswear shows. The Federation organises the show schedule in such a way to allow international press and buyers to coveras many collections as possible. The Federation ensure that all designers receive the best coverage by inviting the most acclaimed journalists, photographers and videographers in the industry. The federation also aims to increase the visibility of young labels by progressively including them in the fashion week calendars helping their brands expand to foreign markets and gain access to financing for brand growth. Emerging labels tend to have a very strong and original design aesthetic that goes against current trends, making the attendance of these shows worth while.
