Introspection is the examination of one's own conscious thoughts and feelings. In psychology the process of introspection relies exclusively on the observation of one's mental state, while in a spiritual context may refer to the examination of one's soul. Introspection is closely related to human self-reflection and is contrasted with external observation.
We consist of all that surround us, we interact and connect in many ways. According to the philosophical studies a person’s ego consists of his past, his memories. We search inside ourselves, travelling to place of tangled shapes, through dark to the light to find the sense of life.
According to Frankle a person can find it in external world. Our whole life is nothing but a way of experienced past into the unknown future lit only at that fleeting moment , that moment represent reality and what we know as 'real'.
The process of photography is an important starting point as it reflects and captures the 'moment', a recording light. Further inspiration is drawn fromphotographer Riccardo Zippolli and his work with window reflections. The bold lines of the environment, become fluid within windows.
The effect of a 'distorted reality' through the camera lens was used to create 3D plastic elements by capturing several Russian cathedrals. In addition to this the symbol of sacred geometry: the flower of life and its basic geometrical shapes: squares, triangles and circles were used for the creating laser cut 3D embellishments.
Silhouettes are inspired by the ceremonial clothes of orthodox priests and give the collection a sense of piety and quiet introspection and are framed with strong geometrical shape.
The color and fabrication palette was inspired by cathedrals and their sacred dark atmosphere with shimmering gold and flicker of candles and white clean exterior. Fabric combinations such as wool, leather and organza are used to reflect the idea of shell and inner substance and embellishments enhance this story through the collection.
The collection built the bridge to the real world with world within the person, evoking purity of the human being. While elaborated embellishment reassert the realness, referencing the religion. Long ,lean and architectural clothes make person immers in his own mind, travelling to an area of tangled shapes, through dark to the light to find sense of our existence.
